Mary, Age 21 Due Date: June 2014 Gender: Boy
Mary is a 21 year old Caucasian female, who is establishing an adoption plan for her unborn child. This child is the product of rape, and Mary does not know the identity of her attacker. Therefore, there is no known information regarding the birth father, but she does know him to be African American.
Mary has been receiving prenatal care, and is working with First Coast Women’s Center for counseling, and other resources. To date, all examinations, lab work, and other tests have been within normal limits.
Mary has already given birth to a son, who is approximately 2 years old. This delivery was via cesarean section, and Mary will probably deliver again via cesarean section, although she would rather deliver vaginally.
Mary and her son live with Mary’s parents, and she plans to continue to live with them after the delivery. At this time, they are unaware of her adoption plan, but she plans to tell them, once a family is selected.
Mary will only consider an inter-racial couple, where one spouse is African American and one spouse is Caucasian. (She is adamant on this requirement; please do not apply, otherwise.) She would also prefer the family to live in Florida, and be Christian. Her final preference is that the family follows a nutritional diet and lives a healthy lifestyle.
Birth mother expenses are expected to be relatively low, maxing out at $5,000. Agency, attorney, and legal costs are fixed at $21,500. (This is an estimated budget and could change based on the birth mother’s needs.)
If you are interested in having your profile presented to Mary for a potential match, please send your profile and application (found on our website) to 11555 Central Parkway, Suite 704, Jacksonville, Florida 32224. For questions, you can reach us by phone at (904) 236-6776 or email at tracy@theadoptionauthority.com.

Birth Mother Substance Usage : BM smokes marijuana daily (~1gram/day) to help with nausea. BM started taking prenatal vitamins in April.
Additional Information : We are currently working with birthparents who would like a family that is financially stable and also stable in their relationship. They would prefer a couple who is open minded and are they are also open to placing their child for adoption with a same sex couple. They would also prefer an open adoption with future visits but this is not a deal breaker. Both parents struggle with mental health. They formed their adoption plan because they do not feel emotionally or financially prepared to provide care for a child. Neither of them work and do not have stable incomes. The father of the baby is involved and supportive of adoption. If you would like to be presented to these birth parents, you must have an approved home study completed in the last 12 months.
We would appreciate no calls, however, for all inquires please e-mail situations@ americanadoptions.com . Please use the ID # when corresponding with this email.
